France-Arizona Youth Exchange with Terre des Langues
Participate in the 2024 High School Student Exchange Program this Summer!

We are thrilled to share some exciting news for 2024.
Our partnership with the French linguistic company Terre des Langues is expanding. Together, we’re launching a unique France-Arizona exchange program specifically designed for high-school students.
 

This program is divided into two enriching parts:

1) In June, your family will have the opportunity to host a French student, introducing them to the beauty of our wonderful state.

2) In July, it’s YOUR high school student’s turn to embark on an adventure to France, immersing themselves in a new culture and broadening their horizons.
 

This exchange program is more than just a trip; it’s a chance to extend your family and provide your children with an unforgettable international experience.

FAQs:

  • I would like to host, but I don’t want to let my youth travel. Can I participate in the program?T> 

    • Tentatively yes. We will grant priority to the students who participate in the actual exchange

  • I don’t want to or cannot host a student, but would like for my student to participate in the French trip. Is this possible?

    • Tentatively yes, at a higher cost/student.

  • My kids are not high schoolers. Can they participate?

  • You could tentatively participate in the hosting part of the program, but sending them to France might be too early for them. Please contact me for any questions.

Host family requirements:
Though a teenager within the family is a plus for hosting, a family may host without having teens at home, as long as regular opportunities to spend time with students of their age are available.

  • An in-home visit will be conducted prior to students' arrival to verify suitability.

  • A bedroom may be shared with a student of the same gender and age range. The student must have their own bed and a place to store their clothes. A bathroom may be shared as well.

  • A DPS fingerprint clearance card will be required for all adults in the household. (Fees for this will be reimbursed.)

Travel Document requirements:

Each student must own a personal and valid passport. The passport MUST be valid for at least 6 months after the group's return. (January 16, 2025)

Program Cost:

$ 3,300 /student based on 9 students and 1 chaperon, including:

  • Flight tickets from Arizona to France

  • Airline taxes

  • French Host family stay research and background screening

  • Train tickets for a field visit to Lyon

  • Professional tour guide for the Lyon visit

  • 24/7 assistance
