Speaker at Mêlée Numérique 2022
Online - Tuesday, September 27

Our Founder shared her experience - in French - as an entrepreneur in Arizona at La Mêlée Numérique 2022!

More and more international companies choose to settle or expand in Arizona, and it was a wonderful opportunity to talk about the great ecosystem that exists to welcome even more global companies. It was also great to remind everyone of the cultural differences between France and the United States.

If you are looking for information about how to better work in a different country and overcome cultural differences, please contact us!

2nd French-German business Mixer
A partnership with the German American Chamber of Commerce - West and Thunderbird, School of Global Management
August 26, 2022

The 2nd French-German business mixer that we organized on August 26 with our friends at GACC-West was a big success.

We are super thankful to our speakers, Carolin Gey, Honorary Consul of Germany to Arizona and Nathan Fidel, Honorary Consul of France to Arizona, who talked about economic development between Germany, France, Arizona and Europe. This topic was clearly of high interest for our guests.

Chamnan Lim, Director, Partnership, 100 Million Learner Inititative at Thunderbird School of Global Management told us more about this incredible program - Inspiring!

And we had a lot of time to network and meet new potential business partners and friends!

We are grateful to all the ones who made this event possible behind the scene: the teams at the The Pub at Thunderbird and Thunderbird.

Lastly, many thanks to the  The Diplomatic Corps of Arizona that was very well represented.

French Youth Linguistic & Cultural Trip
A partnership with Terre des Langues and Global Ties Arizona
June 10, 2022 until July 1st, 2022
Ron talking to the group3.jpg

For 3 weeks, we coordinated the stay in Arizona of a group of French high school students. Manon, Hector, Lucas, Emeline, Charlotte, Anais, Camille, Celestin, and Titouan, were lucky to learn more about the American/Arizona culture thanks to the generosity of their American host families.

With them, they improved their English and discovered the Grand Canyon State. Some of them even traveled to Mexico or California. Some others volunteered for the local community. ALL of them left saying that they made new friends and that their American counterparts became their new brothers or sisters.

We are extremely grateful to our amazing host families without whom this youth stay would not have been a success. ALL of our volunteer families also said they learned from our students and had a fantastic time.

We are proud to announce that our partnership with the French linguistic company Terre des Langues has been renewed for 2023! Please reach out to us at Flora@fctstrategiesllc.com if you are interested in hosting a French student in June or July 2023.

We are grateful to Professor Ron Broglio and ASU - Desert Humanities for our partnership!

As part of their stay, our French guests and their American counterparts visited the Grand Canyon. Professor Ron Broglio and ASU - Desert for Humanities, partnered with us and joined our group on this 1-day trip. Professor Broglio made a fantastic presentation about the history of the Grand Canyon and the National Park Service, as well as the people who lived there, its endangered species, and its geology. This has been an incredible opportunity for our French guests and their American counterparts!

Ron Broglio writes books and essays on nonhuman phenomenology and animal studies. He has curated and produced a number of art exhibitions on contemporary environmental art. Ron is director of the desert humanities initiative at Arizona State University and Associate Director of the Institute for Humanities Research.

He is the author of Animal Revolution and Surface Encounters: thinking with animals and art among other books and edited collections including the recently published The Edinburgh Companion to Animal Studies. He co-edits the Desert Humanities book series for Texas Tech University Press.

Desert Humanities provides environmental experiences with the desert Southwest. Its premise is that we understand, appreciate, and care about our environment through physical engagement and cultural framing. Desert Humanities provides frames or ways of seeing, thinking, and feeling about the desert and offers opportunities to immerse in the landscape and its textured histories.
